Why do people become addicted to talking to a simulation of the most annoying person in the world?

as a data organization tool pretty useful but most people just use it for making ugly flyers

Brilliant! It's helped reduce our workforce by 60%! Made more than $500,000,000 last year. Keep it up!

I spent like 10 minutes in a voting booth because my phone couldn't connect to chat 🤣🤣 ended up voting for the incumbents because they probably earned it last election

when people say they hate AI this guy is usually at the very core of the conversation. i remember in 2023 when it was just taking off and it was just an interesting tech trend i tried it out for one or two prompts but just felt so underwhelmed by how unoriginal and predictable its ideas were. nowadays im embarrassed i even used it but it just solidified my opinion back then that anything you make with your own hands will always be more valuable to your own human experience (which yes does make for inconveniences but being inconvenienced to some extent is part of the human experience. we should be finding ways to become more effective and less inconvenient instead of just normalising ai to the point of relegating basic tasks nobody likes doing to it).
