Piss Christ

the mouthwatering combination of piss and christ

I'm a fan of this photo

Great composition and shocking medium, honestly impressive that this could pass off as a regular painting or photoshoot or the like

Probably one of the best pieces of Christian art

as a devout catholic i think this is an excellent piece of art, both in terms of the actual visuals and the oft-misunderstood message. people have that knee-jerk reaction because they see it as disrespectful to christ, but it's directly calling that out. it does a very good job of disturbing the comfortable. half a star lost because serrano should have hydrated more

Loved his appearance in Evangelion

hard

Not a very healthy looking color

Christ boiling in a pot of piss

made me believe in god for a bit

It’s a little known fact Christ pissed himself to death

pleasantly ill-fitting summer vibes to this one, maybe next time they will do shite christ

Without any context whatsoever it's a haunting image with a compelling range of values despite its limited hue, which gives the contradictory impression of a warm glow & a cold, lonely, painful death. With context, it's piss christ.

u dont have to understand it because I do

when he’s right he’s right

a classic

i don’t really have strong opinions on piss or christ

Yum!

now how'd he get there
