Subtly goated. Good conversation starters when something relevant comes up, and they'll make you a hero on trivia nights. Learning factoids about the stuff you like genuinely hits like crazy. Useless in most applications, but highly enjoyable to seek out and learn.

I love birthdays, but objectively it deserves a star knocked for forcing some folks to grapple with their mortality. "Have I wasted the years I've been given? How many of these will I have left?" At the same time, "it's my birthday" immediately elicits sympathy from strangers, and — at least in the US — companies love to give you free shit, which is goated. So yeah, depending on your disposition, it could be good or bad. I'm leaning towards good.

Everyone loves a little mystery. We've all got something we're hiding, good or bad, trivial or life-changing...I think we're better off not knowing everything.
