in irish law, the gaelic version takes precedent over the english one, (un)fortunately, the gaelic one almost said «the state shall make no distinction between married couples, regardless of whether they be two men or two women.» so that’s how it was almost illegal to bet heterosexual in ireland

i think this is a good thing. learnt from a review on this site that it was the first nation to legalise it by popular referendum. that sounds fantastic!
