Northern cardinal

least favorite bird to see in the net. they bite so hard ouch ouch ouch. but you can't deny they are beautiful

Genuinely when do u see a color so vibrant. Picture this. It is winter time. You look out. Lone female cardinal. Bright like candles. Heart like soul.

Every time I see a northern cardinal I am reminded of a man from my life who I believe I cared for a significant amount, even if it is hard to recall my childhood nowadays I will always be happy to see these birds. As I'll be reminded that he is watching over me from wherever we go after everything is said and done. I hope he is happy with the person I have become.

the bes bird ever i love this bird so fucking much dude

Not a personal favorite, but certainly an all-timer. A handsome, dimorphic beast that makes itself common in its range. Cute noises, cute beak, rather bold. It even goes through a period where it looks quite hideous(cute) and is the subject of many unflattering photographs(positive rep for a bird). Happy to feed from a bird feeder, perch in low shrubs and trees to make sure that you don't miss him. Lacks some "It" factor, but it's a great bird.
