American woodcock

can i get a hell yeah

Peent! Enchanting bird with a nice call and a silly walk.

Fantastic bird. Beautiful, artistic, cryptic things that tromp upon our forest floors. Enchanting eye placement gives this bird a huge range of vision. I am partial to shorebirds, and this one lives in a novel habitat. Surprisingly, it makes it way to midtown Manhattan every year, where individual birds have become local celebrities. Sadly, I have yet to meet one in person.

wonderful bird! i'd love to see a live one someday. i enjoy the worm charming dance they do

When you're good you're good

love these guys

another top 10 bird. i love these things.

grew up with these guys chauffeuring their little round babies around my lawn

one of my favorite birds. went out late in the rain once to see their sky dance. super cool guys. could double as a football in a pinch

gorgeous animal, seeing these things in flight is breathtaking, they make amazing noises and walk so funny, I am lucky that i can share the same space with them even for such a short time during the fall
