courtneythe database's conflation of musical acts with identical names, a problem that could have been evaded over fifteen years ago with some PHP, is an easy -2.5 upon my rating. i regret not having set more song obsessions and instead having relied on running back certain songs a good ten or so times to make a point in my yearly scrobbles. no need to continue to use premium when i can just feverishly check for smart apostrophes to change them to standard apostrophes in songs' metadata. i get a thrill the most out of editing tag wikias, a great substitute to the stifling hell of Sonemic's genre profile submission queue—nothing beats adding a eloquent in-depth description to a tag like "this is fucking nuts" or tags of similar ilk.
