anglegrinder97Now in danger of being dwarfed by the 2010s growth of the LIC skyline, this was the iconic sole tower of Queens. Its design is somewhat lackluster, but the sea-like glass looming over the low- and mid-rise architecture below always reminded me of home. Today, it looks much uglier because the new builds haven't bothered to cohere together with their once-impressive forebear.
