The only internet-based political faction with a strategic mindset. Do I agree with their ends? Not really, but that's not why they lost a star. It's everything else.

We need lists like these in order to hold a mirror up to ourselves. For every maligned minority on this list, each of them has their own vitriolic injury they direct to everyone else. It's a complex web of ethnic animosity, showing that deep down, we're all the same because we hate each other. At the same time, this list is a bit too comprehensive. Many of these terms have fallen out of fashion. Might still be useful for archivists transcribing and interpreting personal letters scrawled in the depths of absinthe delusion, not so useful for anyone just trying to figure out what the hell their neighbor called them during the last argument over overturned trash cans.

Spicy, sweet, salty, numbing, savory, pungent, and always balanced. The very best of Chinese cuisine. It is not subtle, and yet so delicate.

Now in danger of being dwarfed by the 2010s growth of the LIC skyline, this was the iconic sole tower of Queens. Its design is somewhat lackluster, but the sea-like glass looming over the low- and mid-rise architecture below always reminded me of home. Today, it looks much uglier because the new builds haven't bothered to cohere together with their once-impressive forebear.

Nonsensical religious cult that will enslave you if you join it, however, I will say, high-profile Scientologists really seem to have an unbreakable will and a joie de vivre matched only by Mormons

The pros: - A moment in time definitively proving we are no longer at the End of History - Trump's survival and immediate response generated iconic symbolism - The uncertainty of the shooter's motive and identity muddies reality in a titillating way - The drama of it all immediately made legible the genuine beliefs and preferences of many a partisan Cons: - An innocent firefighter was killed - Another national trauma to be exploited - Trump squandered the political capital generated from this moment which could have galvanized his allies immediately upon his reelection - Ultimately forgotten, no one followed up on its high strangeness

Hard to master, but with practice, it becomes clear why this is a favorite of many a photographer and aerospace engineer

How can we identify good without its foul foil? A mother's hug, a lover's kiss, a moving eulogy for a beloved grandparent; what meaning would these things have without the rape and torture of innocents?

Not sure who this index is for. It compiles different, arguably more useful metrics like state stability, market restrictions, corruption/fraud, and international sanctions. Anyone looking to do business internationally probably doesn't care about a country's ranking, only if they can make money without getting ripped off. This index doesn't really explain that well enough. Kind of interesting for laymen, but is that the intended audience? Probably not.

As foundational to the human condition as slavery, war, and taxation. Entire cultures have arisen from the practice, and been transformed irrevocably by its abolition. At the same time, not a very nice thing to do.

This entry was an accident. Oh well.

As people? Awful. Just awful. Incredibly stupid thing to be so knowledgeable on and passionate about. However, these are the people that keep audio accessory manufacturers on their toes, so on the whole, just meh.

Obvious why it's bad. We've all experienced it, some users on this site have even died from it. However, once in a while, it does feel relieving.
