One Court Square

Now in danger of being dwarfed by the 2010s growth of the LIC skyline, this was the iconic sole tower of Queens. Its design is somewhat lackluster, but the sea-like glass looming over the low- and mid-rise architecture below always reminded me of home. Today, it looks much uglier because the new builds haven't bothered to cohere together with their once-impressive forebear.
