im deeply in love with you.

when we hit a calculus unit in my high school math class, i gave up and just sat there after failing the first unit test. no note-taking. i was barely listening. i had no idea what was going on to begin with. shoutout to calculus for letting me turn my brain off for 80 minutes every other day

the boss asked me today if i could teach calculus. i did half a semester of ap calculus ab before covid hit, and then i took a "history of ideas" kind of calculus-related course at school, where they treated newton's principia like it was euclid's elements, and i hated it. of course i told the boss "yes"
