Attempted assassination of Donald Trump in Pennsylvania

Maybe the most heartbreaking day of my life

The pros: - A moment in time definitively proving we are no longer at the End of History - Trump's survival and immediate response generated iconic symbolism - The uncertainty of the shooter's motive and identity muddies reality in a titillating way - The drama of it all immediately made legible the genuine beliefs and preferences of many a partisan Cons: - An innocent firefighter was killed - Another national trauma to be exploited - Trump squandered the political capital generated from this moment which could have galvanized his allies immediately upon his reelection - Ultimately forgotten, no one followed up on its high strangeness

Do better next time😒

Made for a fun headline and an iconic picture, but was otherwise overblown and disappointing.

good attempt but had a bad plot twist. hope they do better in the sequel
