A pitbull named Princess will be the most violent and bloodthirsty beast you have ever met. A pitbull named Darth Annihilus the Destroyer will be a kind soul who will put its life on the line to protect you without a second's thought. There are obvious ethical concerns with breeding such creatures, but I'd wager that goes for most dog breeds in one way or another.

As a preliminary aside, dogs aren't human beings and shouldn't be compared to them. With that out of the way, pitbulls are created artificially by humans and bred for aggression. They are dangerous and have no place among human society. This is not the fault of the animal, but I fail to see why we should continue to breed pets that have a strong chance of killing their owners. It leads to nothing but misfortune for both the owners and the pet.
