Great Molasses Flood

When I'm trying to convince somebody that history is interesting I bring this up and nobody believes me they're always like 'i cant even picture 2 million gallons of molasses' and 'theres no way molasses can destroy a railway system' obviously this wasnt a five star event in the lives of many but in terms of storytelling five stars isnt enough

Imagine if they had boogie boards

elite molasses knowledge

If this happened with beer instead of molasses they would have called it the Greatest Day In Human History

The molassacre. always wondered if the "the streets still smelled like it decades after on hot days" anecdote was true. i love bizarre historical events like this
