one of the best bands ever... sobbed my eyes out to their music too many times perhaps... seeing Mathew Lee Cothran perform live at the Scribble in LA was top 10 best experiences ever, I was literally right up at the stage and it's a pretty small venue so I was like. So close to the music. I could feel it in my soul. And seeing Brad Petering (he produced and helped record one of Coma Cinema's albums !!) in the crowd and meeting him after the show just added so much onto the experience... I wish I could've met MLC as well but I was about to miss my train 💔
11/7/2026I first heard TV Girl in middle school and fell in love immediately. I've heard literally every single one of their songs and have all of their music downloaded, even the demos, side projects, live versions, and solo music. I'm like ungodly obsessed with them and I almost had a literal heart attack when I met Brad Petering at a Coma Cinema show this year. He was so so nice and signed the back of my Coma Cinema sticker :) I always wish I had asked him what his favorite Beatle was... I think about it a lot since The Beatles is also one of my favorite bands and TV Girl reference the Beatles in albums and even sample them. Alas I was too nervous and stuttering the whole time so I didn't think to ask. I hope I get to go to one of their concerts one day, I might actually pass away
11/7/2026I think the comics are just as amazing as the movies, very much different in a lot of ways (but both are so so wonderful) like I'd say the roles of Enid and Rebecca actually kind of switch in the movie. Although Seymour doesn't actually exist in the comic you can definitely feel his presence all throughout the comic in a way. Daniel Clowes is a wonderful comic artist and way too good at writing the girl's dialogue lol.
11/7/2026watching this movie at 15 absolutely changed me as a person and molded me to enjoy so many of the things I enjoy today, I think I've seen this movie about eight times now ? I own the Enid and Rebecca cloth dolls, the comic, the dvd, many custom made pins and keychains of Seymour, and the soundtrack on vinyl. I relate to Enid on such a deep level that it's actually just insane, I'm 19 now so about one year older than Enid is in the movie and I still feel her so deeply. I don't know if I'll ever be able to grapple growing up and making good decisions for myself, I can only hope it gets easier and I stop being so impulsive. Sometimes I dream about getting on a bus just like she did and starting a new life for myself but would that even be any better ? I don't really know
11/7/2026forever my favorite genre of music, everything about twee pop speaks to me and the way I function and exist as a person
11/7/2026My most favoritest twee pop band ever, they're what really sucked me into twee pop as a whole ♡ they'll always hold a special place in my heart
11/7/2026"Mr. Fish is having a party! Down at the sea ! With really loud music and the food is free!" That lyric from one of their songs, Down at the Sea, is actually my senior yearbook quote :) one of my favorite twee pop bands ever
11/7/2026I'd feel wrong saying I dislike the actual human heart as it's one of the most vital parts of our bodies, but they really do freak me out sometimes. I feel so scared anytime I can feel my own heart beating as I know that it could really just stop at any moment. Despite this I really do adore listening to others heartbeats, it's so calming to feel a loved one's heartbeat and to just know that they're alive and their blood is pumping through their body. I like to think that maybe our hearts are beating at the same rate whenever I'm close to someone, having that thought is the only time I feel really comfortable with the idea of having a beating heart inside of my body.
11/7/2026I think she's one of the most beautiful people ever in this entire world and I love how she carries herself as a person, she's so cool like even her full name is just so fucking cool #wow
11/7/2026I feel like I can just never stop thinking or get my brain to be quiet, I don't know how people can meditate and I really envy the people who can. I wonder if it'd be better to not think at all but then what would I even be like as a person and how would I do anything or come to any conclusions at all ever ? I do like that my mind is the only place absolutely unique to me and no one can ever enter my mind and know the things that I'm thinking and I can have my own inner world but I think that's a torture within itself: I want out of my own head
11/7/2026My phone's battery is inflated as fuck like so bad that I can see it if I turn my phone to the side and I can like literally poke the back of my phone and feel that it's kind of squishy. It makes me really paranoid that it will randomly explode... Everytime I drop my phone I feel like I just dropped a grenade... but apparently it makes me not paranoid enough to save for a new battery or a new phone #chop but also it's a little bit humourous to me just how FAT these batteries can get
11/7/2026I have the worst addiction to the flaming hot cheetos... Any form are so good .. regular, fries, puffcorn, even the jalapeño ones... and everytime I start eating hot cheetos like crazy I think about the tweet that was like "once you start eating 4-5 at a time you've genuinely become Chester's toungefuck cheese slave" LMAO
11/7/2026I really really want to meet a seal, there's a game called Be a Silly Seal and I've put so many hours into it. I wish to be a seal and or meet a seal (•⩊• っ)3
11/7/2026My obsession with the man was and is literally insane. I had a whole Instagram dedicated to taking a figurine of him from Yellow Submarine places and would bring him to school everyday and I also brought him with me when I went to go see Ringo in concert. A picture of him was kept in a little heart locket for so long and the heart locket couldn't stay closed so anyone talking to me would be also staring at Ringo as I spoke LMAO. I still love him so dearly even if my obsession isn't as prominent as it was. His music is just as amazing as him, his solo music will always be one of my favorites ever.
11/7/2026I wish more Crumb fans that I met knew he made music, I'm ungodly obsessed with all of his music. I first started listening to him through Ghost World a few years ago and have literally been obsessed since. I downloaded all of his music as mp3s so I can have them all anywhere any time lol. Their rendition of My Girl's Pussy is in my head OFTEN. Top 5 favorite bands ever.
11/7/2026I really do love him for his honesty with himself and who he is, but also really do not enjoy some of the things he was saying and drawing because of his unapologetic honesty LMAO. Very mixed feelings on R. Crumb but despite that I really do enjoy him. I think I love his music (and music taste) more than anything and I wish to own more of his records, but from his comics I think the whole Weirdo series is my favorite.
11/7/2026One of the three men I keep on my ita bag, specifically his character in No Country for Old Men. I admittedly haven't seen much of his other movies but everything I know about Javier himself is very endearing. He is very very vocal about what he believes in no matter where he is and I deeply commend him for it. I think he has one of the nicest voices ever.
11/7/2026One of the three men I keep on my ita bag, specifically his character in Joker. I love Joaquin himself quite a lot, I think celebrities who actually make an effort to vocalize their stance on world issues are very nice. I never understood having that kind of platform and being silent about the things you believe in.
11/7/2026One of my three men I keep on my ita bag, specifically his character in Ghost World. I love Steve Buscemi so much, at this exact moment I've watched 15 films that he's in and ranked them by how much I want him in each movie. I think he's such a sweet person from what you can know of a person without ever personally meeting them, through interviews and articles and what not. i FREQUENTLY think about when he did drag ( ⸝⸝´ཀ`⸝⸝)
11/7/2026"Human society fascinates me & awes me & fills me with grief & joy; I just can't find my place to plug into it." I think of her so fondly as if I really did know her, such a beautiful soul
11/7/2026I really long for the time when I wasn't afraid of death and was frequently craving suicide and had even attempted to off myself. As I've grown older my whole being revolves around my fear of dying. I really envy people who have no fear of death and wish I could believe in some afterlife that made me feel ok with it. I do not want to die.
