i understand why its residents want to nuke sf but of all the american cities i've visited, it's my favourite. beautiful weather, a wonderful mechanical museum featuring machines from the 1900s, two-storey fish stores with more biodiversity than actual aquariums i've been to, seals you can watch at fisherman's whorf, etc. there is darkness & evil lurking, but even at its most dystopian, sf has a certain charm
