can you believe it rains diamonds on other planets?! why on earth are there blood diamonds
11/4/2026i never lived in the walled city (it was torn down before my birth) but for the first 18 years of my life i lived nearby. it's a park now with a cycling path & little museum to commemorate its past. always been fascinated by it, how it grew like an organism, how it inspired art, games, etc & how it functioned despite chaos and smells. very cybernetic, a place that feels like it shouldn't have existed. wish there was more video footage of it. have to be careful not to romanticize it tho. my mother tells stories about going there for cheap, delicious (and unsafe) food & dentist appointments
11/4/2026it's fine i just didn't think it would be chinese
11/4/2026(blank review, as negative space intended. wait i messed that up)
11/4/2026it implies the meaning isn't real </3
11/4/2026i owe it to him for getting me back into playing piano through touhou bangers

11/4/2026boo!! matter is good & dualism is illusory. knowledge will not save you. inherently prideful spiritual malaise. hermeticism is way better, esoteric without the hubris
11/4/2026would be the best country on earth, unfortunately i'd rarely leave. please make it happen..! even better if (more of) california, alberta & alaska were included
11/4/2026it's what you make of it really (until you become broke or fear uselessness). other than that, funemployment is epic
11/4/2026what other city has poetry written on the walls in different languages? beautiful in the summertime. cozy & quaint botanical garden, great museums. leiden university's summer school for language and linguistics is unparalleled. it may be the philological centre of the world. walkable, bikeable, with lovely canals that soothe the soul
11/4/2026i understand why its residents want to nuke sf but of all the american cities i've visited, it's my favourite. beautiful weather, a wonderful mechanical museum featuring machines from the 1900s, two-storey fish stores with more biodiversity than actual aquariums i've been to, seals you can watch at fisherman's whorf, etc. there is darkness & evil lurking, but even at its most dystopian, sf has a certain charm
11/4/2026one of the goatest of all time. wow i also never realized that he was handsome on top of everything else before reviewing him for this website. talented is an understatement; his wisdom, dedication to worldbuilding, masterpieces continue to inspire the great art from folk metal to modern authors like rf kuang. gentle, mythopoetic, uncompromising. makes me want to visit oxford.
11/4/2026a remarkably simple yet classic comfort food. excellent if done with fluffy eggs and a tasteful demiglaze. common additions include melty cheese & mushrooms. may be a candidate for top wasian dish--it certainly mogs korean army stew
11/4/2026one of the most distinct genres of music; dreamy yet heavy, blissful & melancholic, melodic & distorted, dizzying & at-once present, elusive & accessible. created by & for shy sensitive young people. the genre can either be done poorly or the most beautiful thing you've ever heard.
11/4/2026best chinese dish ever. a delicacy, so difficult to hand-make. perfect soup melting in your mouth, love at first bite
