When I try to think about life before my first orgasm, I can’t. I’m unable to remember it fully. I do know, however, that I got greedier in my pursuit of all things. I wanted more from every experience. I wanted everything to come with its own concept of a forever-orgasm. For example, touching a cold door handle: if you hold it for long enough, it warms with your body. I want electricity and sparks to fly due to the building pressure of my grip, and every time you touch a door handle, you feel a static jolt of pleasure from rapidly shifting temperatures, the warmth of your hand and the coldness of metal greeting one another, trying to acclimate as quickly as possible. Love, when it’s reciprocal, when it grows and grows and grows, you merge into one. No longer able to be separated because you both know far too much to allow for opposing directions, you are now one being. I want everything to have a peak and point of no return. A continuous orgasm after you’ve reached a certain point of experience in the matter. Impossible, but necessary for my happiness, which is why everything feels so dull. My first orgasm was the greatest one. There’s no going back, but I want it, always.
