Little blue heron

It resembles the brown crane [in color]: it is ashen, grey. It smells like fish, rotten fish, stinking fish. It smells of fish, rotten fish.

I really liked reading your bird reviews while at work today. If you ever feel compelled to take requests I would love to read reviews of vultures (new and old world alike)
there's gotta be some vultures in this book!! (all the bird reviews are taken out of "the florentine codex" which was written by a spanish monk who was talking to nahua people and cataloging their culture. and i am particularly taken by their descriptions of animals. and i also enjoy the experience of leafing thru an encyclopedia with pictures which is what the list is accomplishing. it's all for the list)
