augias a furry im happy it exists and to be a part of it but like all fandoms its very messy. u always have people in the fandom detracting from the experience from time to time, and being an online fandom u run into a lot of people that have situational unawareness and lack of social skills. much of this can be attributed to the fandom's appeal to very online people, members of the lgbtq+ community, and especially neurodivergent people as a safe space which is great but it also leads to a lot of insular attitudes that make the fandom less appealing to outsiders. the fact that this fandom is also becoming a political topic is very unfortunate. nontheless if you scour around and be your truest self you will meet great people. but do take caution
