We need lists like these in order to hold a mirror up to ourselves. For every maligned minority on this list, each of them has their own vitriolic injury they direct to everyone else. It's a complex web of ethnic animosity, showing that deep down, we're all the same because we hate each other. At the same time, this list is a bit too comprehensive. Many of these terms have fallen out of fashion. Might still be useful for archivists transcribing and interpreting personal letters scrawled in the depths of absinthe delusion, not so useful for anyone just trying to figure out what the hell their neighbor called them during the last argument over overturned trash cans.
