On the topic of rain. I love not checking the weather when it's grey and sulky outside it's like a reward when I get jumpscared by a thunderstorm. I think this may be happening soon which is good for the worms but not very good for me and my poor immune system. I like being surrounded by nature when there's a storm which is a stromg statement to make when I've only gotten that opportunity 2 or 3 times, but I'm sure that if it happens to me on my way home today I'll be overjoyed. In all honesty the feeling of running through the pour and poorly shielding yourself while thunder yells at you is one of the greatest joys of being alive. That video of Drew Barrymore smiling and laughing in the rain kinda gets it except there's less smiling and more flinching and breathless laughter when you give up on avoiding getting drenched. Thunderstorms are absolutely in my top 4 of favorite water related phenomenons/things. It looks even darker and broodier outside as I finish typing this, so I'm very confident there will be a storm diligently waiting for me when I come outside. I hope it lasts until late at night when I am in bed so I can open my curtains and watch the lightning pick at a particularly beautiful tree and strike.
