Behold, a man. A titan of a mind fit for the the Mt. Rushmore of continental philosophers. His meditations on the purpose of art being to affirm the human experience and explore the purpose of what it means to suffer have led to great leaps in understanding the human psyche, and how to actualize the best human everyone is capable of being. Ignore associations with racial supremacy, fascism, and other modern no-no’s, since all of that was a facade constructed by his sister and her nazi husband after Nietzsche’s breakdown later in life. How could the writings of a man who wrote with great admiration for the peoples of Africa and the Jewish faith (See: Daybreak/The Dawn of Day by him) be considered a Nazi!? Start with “The Birth of Tragedy” for meditations on art, and “The Gay Science” for meditations on existence and life. “Amor fati: let that be my love henceforth! I do not want to wage war against what is ugly. I do not want to accuse; I do not even want to accuse those who accuse. Looking away shall be my only negation. And all in all and on the whole: some day I wish to be only a Yes-sayer.”
