North and South America have agreed to a custody swap of raccoons and coatimundis every 6 months in order to facilitate ecological discovery and wonder, I'm being told

It is just like the raccoon, but it does not have human hands. It is also dark, black. As for its being named peçotli, it is because its food is everything—maize, fruit; because it is a great eater. And anyone who is a great eater, intemperate, is called peçotli. “I am a peçotli” means “I eat a great deal,” or “I gorge myself,” or “I eat hurriedly,” or “I am intemperate.”
