Anthrocon

ANTHROCON 2026 WAS SO FUN ity was myt first anthrocon , not my first convention though if it wqas my firsdst convention i think i would have dies on the spot there are so many people. basically the convention takes place in this huge convention center, but then everyone spills out into the entirety of downtown pittsburgh and its QAWESOME all the local businesses cater tro it becasue of how profitable the convention is. so profitable it literally makes up 20% of the city's entire revenue each eyar and i am not joking. the city of pittsburgh designated antrocon day and the mayor went and took press photos. the city loves furries. there are so many people at anthrocon its legit overwhelming. maybe not on the caliber of something like comiccon, but imagine thousands and thousands of fursuiters all packed into one huge building. thats anthrocon. its so big that in full honesty you dont really have the chance to meet new people like you do at other furry conventions. everyone is so stuck in their own bubble because of the sheer amount of people. dont get me wrong the coalesence of literally EVERYONE you know at these conventionns is phenoimenal but i really do like the act of meeting new ppl at these and anthrocon is just not ripe for that. the vibes were immaculate, the con has been taking place during 4th of july weekend the last couple years and this year coincided with the independence day 250th anniversary so it was so dope. of course, do take care walkingn around the city especially at night it does get pretty rough out there. one of my friends got mugged and another friend of mine came across a guy that was highkey about to murder somebody before they called police. lol AWESOME CONVENTION PLS GO ONE DAY IF UR A FURRY its like furry mecca
