Also known as "Satan's pubic lice," the foul and mendacious drugstore beetle is a creature impervious to most poisons (hence the name), insecticides, and thoughts-&-prayers. It can be killed by prolonged freezing and/or overweening violence. It has the potential to host a parasitoid wasp which employs a sort of chestburster maneuver as a part of its reproductive strategy, but this wasp is not an efficient way of wiping out an entrenched drugstore beetle population. If you find an infested product in your pantry, don't just throw it away, but take out the trash immediately after you bag it up. Station UV-light sticky traps around the area to monitor for continued activity and follow up with a blood sacrifice to the plague deity of your choice.
