It feels normal/no big deal when you have a car, but they’re so prone to needing a trip to the shop. Experienced drivers are becoming more negligent, aggressive, and distracted. Driving anxiety affects every third person it seems. I live in a bigger city that only has a mediocre bus and light rail system but most places have nothing. Nobody is hiring and you can’t exactly spend 60 dollars on Ubers daily. But bus and train stops are met with very NIMBY attitudes. It’s getting harder to walk or bike anywhere. I guess you just have to hope you live as many days as you can with a working car and independence to get yourself around.
