Pretty quirky and interesting creature

What i am considering "minimalism" here is the idea of drastically reducing the amount of materials you use in a creation with the intent of exploring the most of it. It's implosive creativity, that seeks to free itself from limiting boundaries by expanding from the inside. I think mainly of Steve Reich, my favorite composer.

Very stereotypical motif and can certainly lead to a limited stylistic cinception of eastern music. Can be quite funny though depending of the context, and it also gives a lot of room for motivic development. Since its based on pentatonics, you can transpose it freely throughout the scale without radically changing the harmonic content, and you can also create variations in rhythm, duration, atticulation, etc while maintaining the basic essence of the motif.
