sandalphoni love this medium, i really do, but the median consumer is so happy to be served the blandest slop. i don't even think contemporary flat design is necessarily bad but the wake of canva, lazy design, and every tech startup following the same formula for their brand has turned this design era into a dead horse that has been beaten into a fine smooth featureless paste. independent design is still rich, the turn to mimicking analog print against the overabundance of flat design is proof of this as well as the way nostalgia trends have been bringing fresh innovation, so not all is lost i guess. hopefully glass ui getting big will give us a nice meta shift in the corpo sphere finally.
