I have been dating my girlfriend for 7 months now and she's obsessed with my exes. Mind you, I have never once thought about nor showed any sign that I missed either of exes throughout our relationship, even before we started talking. I went into this relationship with a clear mind and a heart full of Danielle, yet she has this itch to look back and compete with my past relationships. I have reassured her so many times, and I will never stop of course, but it's getting tiring on my part too, having to constantly get reminded of memories that I have fully moved on from and had no plans in looking back to. I love my girlfriend with all my heart. This is just hurting me too, and I'm exhausted. It is very draining to be looked at differently from who you are now because of your past, especially if you've done so much to change and become a better person, just for the love of your life to compare you now whenever she feels like it. Why can't she focus on our present and future together instead of our past?
