I like the versions that guarantee each game is winnable. There are 2 ways to do this: set the game after your first click (the Microsoft approach, though Microsoft only guarantees you don’t lose on the first click) or else prescribe a first click for you (the Sporcle approach). Of the two I think I prefer the former
