11/5/2026my first coding language and the one i hold so near and dear to my heart. my excitement for R opened a few important doors in my life
11/5/2026if you told 13 year old me that i have a degree in stats as an adult with plans to go back for graduate study she would've never believed you. interesting, challenging, and rewarding to study. taught me that i'm capable of doing anything with enough patience and hard work, and changed the path of my life!
11/5/2026changed my life for the better but could get very crazy very quickly. those lesbians don't play around!
11/5/2026in junior year i stayed at my college for winter semester and played so much sudoku that i would see the grids when i closed my eyes. now i mostly play on the train when i want to be on my phone but don't want the people around me to have anything to look at
11/5/2026vibe is charming but they keep my poor boyfriend locked up in there and now we can't hang out like we used to :(
11/5/2026for my 10th or 13th birthday my dear grandmother gifted me a perfume with prominent jasmine notes. i only started wearing it regularly in college. one night i walked out to meet my friends for dinner and one asked "where's the jasmine bush?" also lovely as tea.
11/5/2026i love them :) their mews are so cute and the way they flit and jump around. so unassuming but so sweet
11/5/2026when i was young i would visit the kinokuniya in midtown and look longingly at these magazines. i promised myself i would one day, when i could afford it, start a collection. i bought my first four in japan :) i hope to continue buying more
11/5/2026my aunt's friend has a beautiful home in the mountains in this area. one summer we went on a 12 mile hike with nothing but sunflower seeds and water. so many fond memories walking to the cave, driving into the town for groceries and sweets, saying good morning and good night to the peaks. all the dogs, cats, sheep, crickets. all the games of rummikub and cards... i miss it so dearly
11/5/2026you can't find these in new york :( I waited 8 years to go back to romania and have a proper one and it was so worth it
11/5/2026played this at a time when i was quite lonely and confused; some of the quotes and music still make me emotional
11/5/2026her best album. i listened to such an ungodly amount of mitski while harboring a massive unrequited crush on a guy that now I can't undo the association between this album and february 2019
11/5/2026it's kind of difficult to express why I like impressionism so much. in some ways it's a very basic choice—these are the paintings that draw all of the crowds at places like musee d'orsay—but taking some art history helped me appreciate it more. I find it more engaging because the artists begin to play in ways they weren't so much before
