A man on Planet Borealis. I enjoy the colour yellow and the cedilla.

I quite like the pear flavour. Most things should be pear flavoured.

It makes me anxious, and it makes me uncomfortable to watch people become so dependent on it.

Anarchism
Anarchism

I've been reading Ivan Illich's Tools for Conviviality, which has been incredibly shocking, but ultimately, when given the time to settle, these ideas are correct, and fair, and just. Along with David Graeber's Fragments of an Anarchist Anthropology, and Ursula K. Le Guin's The Dispossessed, it's increasingly—alarmingly—obvious to me that we are doing something wrong with majoritarian democracies.

I think there still might be something to this. Don't hang up your hat so soon, friend.

I can remember what this was like in my ancestral memory. It smelt bitter, but like home.

Delightful. I'd really like one. Or just a replica. I should make one really. I'll make one. Then I'll finally know what they're for.

Reamer is an excellent name for this tool. But to use it is to deny pulp in one's juice.

This thing is way harder than you might expect. I did it two weeks ago and failed miserably. The wind and bad visibility brought us down from our hubris onto our knees. I will build stronger for next year.

Gorgeous. And I like that the character has the record for most number of strokes. Because you can taste that fact while you eat it. Best I've ever had was at Biang! Biang! Swanston Street: https://maps.app.goo.gl/B4zkiL2eZzsXEmkX7

My favourite of the big questions. So much fun to ponder. I love life! It seems increasingly likely that life didn't start on Earth (see: panspermia), but this just pushes the question somewhere else. I'll be thinking about this for most of my time here I expect.

On the topic of A. hitleri's name, International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN) President Thomas Pape says: "It was not offensive when it was proposed, and it may not be offensive 100 years from now."

Classic for a reason. Perfect mouth-feel. It's a shame that they keep going insolvent. It shouldn't be this difficult to run an 81-year-old drinking glass company, but I suppose if your product never breaks you will eventually run out of people to sell it to.

It literally doesn't get better than this. I saw this perfomed live by the Colin Currie group at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music in Newcastle a few weeks ago, and during a crescendo I felt exactly the same feeling as falling in love with someone for the first time. Completely intoxicating. Livestream link: https://www.youtube.com/live/qWvf9JLBoq4?si=XOFjtq1s2i9Qt-hw&t=3723

Almost perfect. I like to cover them in wheat or corn flour, then fry in a wok with oil and add salt, pepper, MSG, paprika, and chili. Fantastic to eat hot and crunchy with some hummus and lemon.

The height of sardonicism. J. D. Salinger's writing is just so. Wish his son would stop buggering around and publish some of the backlog. But then of course, that might ruin everything. It's difficult to imagine navigating the world without the perspectives and wisdom of Salinger's characters to refer to.

Makes quite a delicious tea. Not as delicious as my favourite Liquorice tea I would normally procure from the supermarket. Liquorice tea is self-sweetening (and self-poisoning).
