Scarlet runner beans are easy to grow, beautiful as a summer plant, and exhibit a gorgeous black and purple coloring when they’re dry. I haven’t eaten them yet, but they’re a joy to grow. I recommend beans for any beginner gardener— they’re easy and produce a good bounty (assuming the deer don’t get to them)

The leaves are all a lovely red and gold today but it’s still 70 degrees. It makes for a good combo of sunny days and pretty views
