I write poetry, or they’re sort of somewhat short entries that I like to call poetry. And I figured maybe I copy and paste one of those and just go from there. Like a snowball rolling. Yknow, just to get something started?

@oddstrawbbear that’s a good idea. i wrote poetry for a while. poetry always has a theme, but that doesn’t mean that your theme can’t be about you. how you feel. all of that little pieces of you and the poetry you wrote together. poetry is beautiful, but you have to be brave and write whatever you want, even if you think it’s “dumb”. :)

@gia yes! I pondered also the idea of simply compiling all of my entries and not necessarily writing a story story but sort of just an anthology, if you will; same deal. I’ve done this; compiled my writing and sort of organized them by their “themes.” But I don’t know, I feel very drawn to the idea of writing a full fleshed out fiction novel. Maybe one day! I think it’d have to be a hyperfixation of mine for me to really /commit/ to it

@oddstrawbbear i get it! when im not really focused yet want to write a book in a certain genre, i usually create a pinterest board with the name of the novel (or, if you don’t know yet, novel #1) and everytime ure scrolling through pinterest and you see something that you really like/think it would match the book aesthetic or story, you pin it. and after a few months you will have written part of the story in your mind lowk or at least have built a concept!!!

@gia wait this is a game changer cause my aphantasic ahh can’t picture things very well so coming up with the atmosphere and vibe and look of things is difficult for me. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this before LOL thank you so much!!
