written like scientist examining animal behaviour, yet still manages to be very lush and silently compassionate towards its characters. maybe meant to be from gods perspective?
11/4/2026Works decently well but you also look totally insane doing it which is a plus. Close your eyes, open this puppy up on your phone, and hold it right in front of your eyes on max brightness --> https://www.bluestwave.com/tools/dreammachine.html *Unless you have epilepsy
11/4/2026will never not be crazy as fuck
11/4/2026much more interesting than the existential segments is the stuff that makes up the majority of the book: roquentin stares at everything around him analysing every inch of everyone's face, inventing elaborate systems of thinking about everything and generally totally freaking out at normal stuff. similar to Witold G's 'cosmos' where the narrator is so neurotic in such detail it becomes very funny

11/4/2026the people of the sound and the fury have wounds that could never heal even if they weren't constantly opening them up again and you will learn to understand why they can't stop. the writing is so good even at the parts where you will inevitably be lost its in a very beautiful place
