Mary, mother of Jesus

I have this distinct memory of coming back home from kindergarten, happily sitting down on my bed with my mother as I told her that I had "a second mother," as they taught us in school, referring to Mary. My mother thought i was talking about my father's new girlfriend and reprimanded me for it. I remember that being the first time I've ever felt regret for being innocent. I still see Mary as a gentle mother anyway
