this rating is purely conceptual and non material.

i have mixed feelings about snow angels. i feel like i never quite experienced a snow angel the way you're meant to as a kid. i lay down in the snow and perfunctorily waved my limbs up and down, and when i stood back up they were never the perfect shape i'd envisioned. they made me feel like i was larping childhood sometimes. but nonetheless they are beautiful, and there is something to be said about wanting to have emulated that experience. there is something to be said about my having to take on this tradition myself from popular media, rather than inheriting it from my parents' childhoods. they don't have snow angels in india
