an icon i see much of myself in; we are both southern-raised libras with cleft chins and big dreams. her music and image are everything i've wanted to see in pop, and she left me a very kind message on tumblr several months ago. when I Got It Bad leaked in '22, i had it on repeat for months, and since then she's only gotten better. i've shuffled Addison no less than once a week since its release in mid '25, as it continues to fill me with a deep sense of passion, clarity, and motivation, no matter what i'm doing, or how many times i've listened to it. being produced solely by her & two friends, not run through any board checks or unnecessary creative changes, makes the album a pure expression of her self, her ideas and inspirations, which in turn drives me to aspire toward my goals. people make fun of her for not being the most technically skilled or poised in her movements and vocals, not understanding the sheer joie de vivre in her performance, but i do.
11/4/2026a drink so beloved to me i have merged into a sort of oneness with it. we are both unsure of our identities, unbound by arbitrary labels, are sweet, have severe personalities, and take a physical toll on others in large, unchecked doses. despite its ambiguity, Dr Pepper is an elixir with healing properties, and in my eyes, is the highest beverage one can put in their body. i am having to stay away from it as of late, but we understand each other, and that we will never be too far apart.
11/4/2026a stand-in review for the box fan, which is a complete game-changer. all forms of air conditioning are important, of course, but this machine has really changed my life for the better. my bedroom is poorly ventilated, so the box does its job *and* provides a perfect source of calming, white noise in the process. it is placed on a short bookshelf in front of my bed, next to my stack of records. for years i had a Lasko Wind Machine, but one day the blades wouldn't spin properly, cleaning it did nothing, and i was starting to have a physical reaction to the absence of noise (i have a similar reaction to being in my brother's awfully quiet room). so instead of waiting to buy a brand new one, my parents found an old, visibly damaged Lasko Box Fan in the farm shed, which took its spot. i had my doubts, being that it's quite dusty and cracked, but for over a year now, it's gotten the job done, is even louder than the Wind Machine (ideal), and provides a good aesthetic contrast to the rest of my room.
11/4/2026 · 1 commentwe have some of these on our farm, currently i would say around 50. at first i found them an annoyance; these birds are driven by nothing but pure movement, no logic, so trying to get them to go in a certain direction or coop is frustrating—and they're extremely loud. but they've grown into a rhythm, roosting in trees every night, and taking care of ticks and bugs for us! these birds are our strongest flyers, and their noise has become a daily comfort in the background of my life.
