inthechalkpitone night i was in 10th grade and suffering from acute task paralysis & executive dysfunction & had to write an essay that was due the following morning. i managed it by reading the entirety of prufrock whenever i started to panic because as 10th graders do i had convinced myself that it was about Me and My Struggles and it was very comforting to me. must have read it 10+ times in that one night but i ended up getting the essay done. i woke up the next morning having accidentally memorized most of it, figured it wouldn't take me that long to memorize the rest, & so i did. then in my freshman year of college i entranced an absolutely gorgeous person by reciting the entire thing to them, we got together, & we are still together to this day so the moral of the story is that ironically, the love song of j alfred prufrock will get you bitches. 5 stars.
