tamper-resistant packaging started here the way Clean Air Started in Donora PA & i dunno this is one of those events that's ill-remembered but burned into the American way of living, thinking, and relating to the world, the way tree rings record the weather (the trees around us now in future will be almost unbearably sad, unhinged rings, drought-narrow and extended-growing-szn-wide). Chicago (and its suburbs, as the case is here) in the last decades of the last century feels so important, visceral, as American as old pictures of New York subways feel not of this earth at all, though Chicago has/had parts like that too, its "inner city" (wonder why that term feels so outmoded) and rougher suburbs - Gary's cuter than people know but - feels our biggest representative if not our most voluminous or our most Middle like Muncie, the middle's really not what we're looking for here because *nothing's* ever not off-center, but anyway since these poisonings are still unsolved I would like to be the first to announce that tylenol medicine pills can just do that (it's weird stuff, makes me shake), no tampering needed. it's a spontaneous reaction, natural and latent like mites in flour (apparently)
