grandmaOne of my personal favorites. Has so many features, and still manages to make the all thematically consistent. Periodically changing colors instinctively feels like it would be irritating and take away from having a consistent design, but it is executed flawlessly in this case. That alone adds so much variety and personality, and the sky still remains one of the most recognizable things in media, for example in children’s drawings, as a simple blue background, or world renowned paintings (“starry night” comes to mind). I haven’t even touched on the other aspects, eg Sun, moon, weather, clouds, etc, not to mention the special events, like meteor showers, but I think a lot of these are simply best experienced in person. Overall, such an integral part of human society and life itself, really deserves to be as respected as it is.
