we use to have american inspired diners all across the UK and they sort of just vanished one day. why?? i know it's not because we all decided to be healthier. i have fond memories of a side-of-the-road diner that (at least in my memory) looks like the two whales from life is strange. i use to get ice cream in the silly penguin cup. bring them back.

my most expensive special interest throughout life. i think the founding origin of the historical line is really beautiful and inspiring in the way it aimed to teach kids to empathise with girls of the past. i can also appreciate the way it serves as a time capsule for girlhood through its contemporary lines. obviously i'm biased because i was a fan from the UK, but i think the lack of expansion outside of the americas when the brands popularity peaked really hindered the brand (and you can't say it's AMERICAN girl because they opened stores in the UAE.) it's also sad to see how the target audience has shifted from 8-12 to 6-8. the period of girlhood is getting smaller.
