This is the next big city. This is the heart of Oregon. This place has all you need and then some more. This is still the wool capital of the world. This is the Oregon Jerusalem. This place has many buildings in varying states. This place has a fire station. This place has a school. This place has a dry saloon. This place has a hidden bar. This place makes me feel deeply connected to my state in a way no where else does.

Would be 5 stars if Spokane wasn't there.

Gorgeous place. Occasionally the roads are ugly.

Very strong and unpleasant plastic smell. Very good for containing a mess and moving a dead person around. Always feels quite disrespectful to the person. When I die I would rather not be zipped up into a plastic bag. However, if I'm really in a poor state or somewhere odd then by all means go ahead.

I've come to really like these places.

Very communicative sense. Hearing the voices of people you love is good. Hearing the wind, rain, birds, and running streams is good. Very useful for being cautious of your surroundings. Yes, it is difficult to hear people crying or in pain but isn't that a good thing?

Such a lovely way to interact with the world. Gets a lot of good press which I think is deserved.

I feel like this is an underwhelming sense. Yes good food is good. That makes for some pretty good memories. Yes the taste of mold is bad. That is very useful. I feel like my memories of good food are weaker then strong memories from all of my other senses.

Reminds you that you're a physical being with a body. Sometimes that reminder is amazing like when you physically interact with another person, or are wearing something that feels good, or feel the warmth of the sun. Feelings that make you thankful to interact with physical things are pretty great. Sometimes you stub your toe, or are too cold, or have been burned. And sure these feelings are important, but they are no good.

Sometimes things smell bad and we learn a lot from that. Someone once told me it's the sense that is most connected with a feeling of nostalgia and I believe that. Sometimes you get a really strong memory from a scent and I really like that.
