when i was younger and afraid of everything i would run away to a beach 5 hours away from my home for days at a time. i can’t swim properly but i can keep my head above water. i love the ocean too much to ever leave it but i’m too scared of drowning to learn how to swim. the stars are more visible near the beach if you stay there for the whole night. whenever i get desperate i just need to see the ocean. i need to be there on the beach. i need to be there. i need to. when i was younger i’d imagine running away forever for real and diving into the ocean because it’s the only thing that i could ever love that i can actually touch.
