A form of torture meted out by wicked old men.

A lovely woman but very dull witted. Prone to dozing off.

The most appropriate gift for a young man’s twelfth birthday.

Ugly things that Nanny keeps in her mouth and takes out before bed. They help her chew her oatmeal.

A drab old man whose only purpose is as a target of young men’s teasing and monkeyshines. Is not above slapping and pinching his betters when he is in high dudgeon.

A wonderful dainty that should be enjoyed all year, but is only given occasionally
