I saw one in person for the first time around 4 years ago with my ex, whom I broke up with 2 weeks later. Even though that relationship was tumultuous, seeing the whale shark in person brought me great peace. It’s so grand, elegant and docile. It peacefully swam around all the other fish and sharks despite being the largest creature in the tank. I found its large nature mixed with its docile personality to leave me with this feeling of sublime. I was looking at something I will never truly understand. Best shark 10/10.
