I was so obsessed with this guy at 13 that my photos app registered him under “People & Pets” Not even my parents are in there.

My sophomore year of high school I pulled out my phone to play something on Spotify. The last song I had been listening to was off their green album. My phone brightness was very high, and as I walked down the stairway to my next class the song popped up before I could switch to a new one. Spotify decided to show a huge bright neon green animation instead of just the smaller album cover. Two kids behind (and above) me saw my screen turn into a green beacon and snickered and said “She’s listening to WEEZER!” I haven’t felt shame like that since. Pretty decent band.
