Things I Have Seen
A ranked list by tobyotter · 29 items
In order of how much I enjoyed seeing them.
- Cats and the Internet
1tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-07★★★★★This is just kind of too stacked. Cats were already topping everything I was ranking but then you add THE INTERNET ON TOP OF THAT??? genuinely ridiculous
- Tabby cat
2tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★★My family used to own a tabby cat when I was very little and while I don't remember much about her I remember she was very very pretty
- Cat
3 - Painting
4tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★★They can be really pretty! But I'm not good at it at all...
- Darkness
5tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★★She is joint first for the most beautiful thing ever (with her sister which is light)
- Moon
6tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★★She is SO good at making the tides.
- Full moon
7 - Fox
8tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★★THEY'RE SO CUTE, maybe my second favourite animal behind otters which are nothing like foxes really..? But I like how they look and I like the way that they act (they're little nature spirits of ADHD) so they get TOP MARKS.
- Buttocks
9tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-07★★★★★Mhmmmmhmmmmmhmmmm these are just so great
- Self-harm
10tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-07★★★I don't know why my emotions about this are so confusing. Doing it feels like understanding it. It's scary when other people do it but romanticised (and yeah kinda erotic) when I do it. People are CONFUSING and the way we act is EVEN MORE SO
- Spiral
11tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★A subspecies of curve (itself a subspecies of line) which appears everywhere and is fun to look at
- Indigo (color)
12tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★I genuinely forget this exists but it's pretty nice when I remember it exists
- Cyan
13 - Orange (colour)
14tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★Basically just DLC for red but still good
- Clock
15tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★I really like the ticking noise they make, but I don't like how some of them are alarms, and some of them are digital which means no ticking noise.
- Bridge
16tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★I really fuck with their niche in dealing with inconvenient gaps, (although sometimes it can be better to NOT build a bridge). Oh and their architecture can be very impressive and can be very interesting from like an engineering perspective.
- Gold
17tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-07★★★Perchance gold has caused more trouble then it is worth which is saying something because gold is meant to be worth a lot
- Man
18tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★They're fine... I think some are pretty cute!!! And some are pretty shitty!!!
- Violet (color)
19tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★I mean it's fine I just can't think of anything particularly amazing that's violet.
- Sword
20tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★They get significant cool points HOWEVER just because historical wars have been romanticised as medieval/fantasy/anime does not mean that war isn't still horrific. Swords are still tools for hurting people and hurting people is WRONG, perchance.
- Yellow
21tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★It can be pretty good but if it's overused it's not good. Be careful with yellow clothes (dangerous)
- 22George Miles Cycletobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★★
Really important to who I am as a person. Amazing well written and nuanced and heartbreaking/beautiful meditation/snuff on love and whether it's possible to express it.
- Dream
23tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-07★★★★★Basically kind of important
- Cursive
24tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★Underrated for when you have to add text on something with a touchscreen/mouse. Also it's pretty. However it's hard to read.
- 25Social cuetobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★
Some of them are good.
- Black Metal (Dean Blunt album)
26tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★★It's so vague and mysterious and dark but so beautiful and well made. Every song in here is a pitch-black-void. It feels like this album could express anything from a lifetime to an evening.
- USB-C
27tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★By FAR the best cable format, good for everything. However I'd like if there was a standardised system of symbols for telling you the speed and data format and etc. Still very good though!!
- Nipple
28tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★I don't really see the appeal......
- Haunted house
29tobyotter's latest · 2026-11-06★★★★★Really beautiful and meaningful to the way we understand ourselves, our relationship to the world, and how we understand the places around us. Basically haunted houses are like seeing all your own history and all the history of other people compressed into a single location (ghosts from the past lingering long after they should) and then like- what would that be like? Would that be scary? Would you stay? I have been to fake ones but I want to go to a real one
