fauxcommander's latest · 2026-11-07★★★★★I came into the article while researching trepannation and was delighted with 1. how much information it has 2. how much it shows her own views 3. the way it wraps around to the idea of her not knowing if it was a placebo effect or if it truly changed her, going into her medical research and how much good she did with the world. It is interesting her research into psychedelics and the way its written fascinates me. Love you, Amanda. Everyone should know your name instead of Bart Hughes.
- Bart Huges
fauxcommander's latest · 2026-11-07★★★Most of his work with trepannation and how it influenced the New York scene he was in is not in this article, which disappoints me but makes sense with the fact he influenced a lot of people but is not the core focus of the movement even when he did so much for it by reaching out to the people around him. A short but sweet article that introduces him and what he believed in with trepannation nicely, I just wish it was expounded his views more.

i tried reading but it i feel it is very theoritical in a way that is hard for me to grasp but i am interested in the idea of it being a discussion, unfortunately this is like my third time of returning to this article to see if itll stick and it overwhelms me. i hope some time i'll climb this mountain
- Butterfly effect
fauxcommander's latest · 2026-11-07★★★★★it is the way i see the entire world. it both makes me hopeful and terrified. i like this article because it made me think of it in a different way
- Mr. ZIPfauxcommander's latest · 2026-11-07★★★★★
i did not know about him until my sisters partner told me, and i am very interested in the way they failed terribly to make people excited about the existence of zip codes. it is something i have grown up with my whole time alive so i think its cool to see that whenever anything new is introduced, at least in america, they try to mascot it. very informative article, i really liked learning about him and the history of zip codes (and him in relation)
- Cave
fauxcommander's latest · 2026-11-07★★★★read this with a friend once because i was interested to know what the worlds deepest cave was and discovered through a different source that wasnt wikipedia that it is hard to pin point that since there was far too many caves, particularly ones that are viewable to us and so much information on caves that there is truly no way of knowing. so less stars for having to go elsewhere to find this information. not very informative on the types either in what i saw of it. but it is talking about a general topic and there is articles about specific ones out there, so i will give it enough stars to be nice
- List of plants with symbolismfauxcommander's latest · 2026-11-07★★★★
i use this article often enough that i know it is useful to me because i know the people around me care for plants and symbolism, so i turn to this article to help me in my art journey. i apperciate that its not just flowers as well, though it could use more tree ones. i know there is more symbolism out there than is listed here.
- Self-harm
fauxcommander's latest · 2026-11-07★★★★★i apperciate the articles discussion on how it is not primarily a suicidal trait, and the discussion of how it is categorized. it made me laugh to see slitting your wrist next to a tattoo as 'mild to moderate' behavior from walsh and rosen. i think its important to discuss that small acts no one thinks about is "self harm". scratching a scab. picking hair out like your eyebrows compulsively. biting your lips. to treat it like it is something special and uniquely horrifying is how to make people feel more isolated. well written article, satisfied with the way its written and how much information there is to process. shoutout to us with burn scars
- Mail art
fauxcommander's latest · 2026-11-07★★★★★builds upon the idea of the ways the postal service is a way of communication and the ways we uphold that, and turning it into a challenge of what is communication in a way
